Flashbacks

Its funny how as soon as I pull a shirt or a hat from the storage bucket for Colby to wear, I remember. I remember the day Drew wore it, the places we went, the picture I took. It is hard to believe he was ever that small, and at the same time I can't believe he is a big boy now.

It is also a little shocking that I don't remember Tyler in these clothes. I guess I was a little more fried than I thought I was! Pictures??!! I had too many little ones under foot to remember my camera :)

They certainly look like brothers, don't they?!

Hello Summer!

The calendar may say that Summer really begins at the end of this month...but there is plenty that is telling me it has already begun. 

 We kicked it off big time this weekend. There was swimming, BBQ, Popsicles, baseball and bikes...if that doesn't say summer, I don't know what does. 

We came together in the backyard for Dad's Birthday, but as usual we seemed to celebrate so much more.  

 Each other, the summer, this awesome life and the moments we spend together. 

So, hello again to our favorite season! And yes, a to do list is on the way :) 

Kap-arazzi

I handed my camera off to Kappy (my cousin's husband) to capture some Christening shots. He gladly accepted the task in fact I almost had to pry my camera out of his hands at the end of the ceremony! The Kap-arazzi (his new nickname) caught some great moments...here are just a few...

One benefit of handing your camera over? Im IN pictures :)

 I love this shot Kap-arazzi caught of his wife. I find it romantic. Like he couldn't wait for her to walk near him and started shooting before taking the time to focus. 

 Precious. Notice how Tyler is covering his ears? He predicted that Colby would cry when the water was poured on his head. He was right. But I think he was crying because he wanted to sit in the water and splash. 

Love Katie's expression in this one. Only a Godmother would feel so bad for her little charge. Notice how the rest of us are laughing at the poor baby? Not Katie...I think this is a sign that we chose well.

Camera is Back!

My camera has been on the fritz...but it is all better today. I brought it along with us to the park this AM trying to capture the picture. You know the one...where the light is perfect, the expression is exactly how you see it, and it just perfectly captures the moment. Well, as usual I didn't get "THE PIC" but I don't need it. I sat back on the bench with my little guy sleeping with the sun on his feet. Ella was running and singing and Drew waved from the top of the slide. The air was, why as my dad would say, it was spectacular! The sun was out, even the birds were chirping. We were all happy, and why shouldn't we be?! I don't need a picture to remember that.
